A huge fire has broken out at an FSB security service building in southern Russia after what reports say was a blast at a munitions depot.
Witnesses described hearing an explosion before the inferno erupted at the FSB border patrol building in Rostov-on-Don, 80 miles from Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine.
Black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky as fierce flames engulfed the building. Local media cited a security service source who said that ammunition that had been stored at the FSB depot had exploded. At least one person was killed and two were injured, state media said. There were unconfirmed reports of people trapped inside the burning building.
Ukrainian special forces have targeted Russian weapons depots, oil refineries and communications since the start of the war, but Kyiv has so far not commented on the blast
