Satellite images of the boats suggest that Kim Jong-un was last in the coastal resort of Wonsan, according to experts who are watching the leader’s movements. The images of the boats that have recently emerged fuelled further speculation about Kim’s recent activities and where he might have been.
Kim has not been witnessed in public since April 12 and his closest aides have remained silent about his whereabouts.
The leader also missed a key event in the North Korean calendar, on April 15 which celebrated the birth day of his grandfather Kim II Sung.
Commercial satellite images showing boats that are used by Kim and his entourage were uploaded onto NK Pro’s website.
It comes as other photographs have been released by 38 North (a monitoring project) of Kim's personal train parked up in Wonsan.
The leader owns a khaki coloured train that is reportedly so heavily armoured that it requires two engines to pull it at 37mph through the unstable North Korean railway tracks.
Last week the locomotive was spotted outside a private station that connects to the leader's palace near Wonsan.
The location of the extravagant mode of transport has become crucial evidence for US spy satellites that are seeking to find the truth about Kim’s health.

There have also been daily reports of him sending letters and political correspondence, but without any evidence supporting them.
The leader came to power in 2012 and during that time he constructed a large building in the Wonsan complex he could be hiding out at.
Inside the compound are nine guesthouses, a recreation centre and a shooting range.
Fuelling the fire of death reports, US Senator Lindsey Graham told Fox News that rumours going unanswered were suspicious.
“But I'd be shocked if he's not dead or in some incapacitated state because you don't let rumours like this go forever or go unanswered in a closed society, which is really a cult, not a country, called North Korea.
“So I pretty well believe he is dead or incapacitated.
“And I hope the long-suffering North Korean people will get some relief if he is dead, and President Trump's willing to do business with North Korea in a win-win fashion.
“So, if this guy is dead, I hope the next person who takes over will work with President Trump to make North Korea a better place for everybody.”
If Kim is incapacitated it would mean that potentially another member of his family could take over as leader of the state.
Some have speculated his sister Kim Yo Jong would be next in line to serve and also the leader's uncle.
