THE only two survivors of a plane crash in Pakistan yesterday were sat in miracle seats near the front of the jet, a passenger list shows.
Zafar Masud and Mohammad Zubair, 24, were pulled from the twisted wreckage in the residential area of Karachi following the crash which killed 97 people.
Mr Masud, President of the Bank of Punjab, was sitting right at the front of the plane in seat 1C and was filmed being carried away from the smouldering crash site.
Meanwhile, engineer Mr Zubair, 24, who was sitting back in seat 10C, said that after the crash he could hear other passengers screaming as the fire engulfed the cabin.
Speaking from his hospital, in a clip posted online, he said: “After it hit and I regained consciousness, I saw fire everywhere and no one was visible.
“The cries were everywhere and everybody was trying to survive. I undid my seat belt and I saw some light and tried to walk towards it. Then I jumped out.”

Crash survivor Mohammad Zubair
Mr Zubair was sitting right behind the bulkhead, which usually divides the cabin between business class and economy, the passenger list for the PIA Airbus A320 shows.
It is unclear what injures he sustained in the crash.
The other survivor Mr Masud suffered some fractures but was “conscious and responding well”, the Bank of Punjab said in a statement.
Witnesses said the pilot of the plane circled Jinnah International Airport in Karachi before crash landing the Pakistan International Airlines into the packed area of Model Colony.
Mr Zubair confirmed that the jet attempted one landing and briefly touched down on the tarmac before taking off again, reports Geo News.
According to the pilot's mayday call, he lost two of the aircraft's engines towards the end of the flight from the eastern city of Lahore.
Zubair said from his bed at the Civil Hospital Karachi that after circling again for another 10 minutes, the captain announced he would try another attempt at landing.
Moments later, the plane plunged into the densely populated residential area in the southern city.
'MAYDAY, MAYDAY'
The survivor said: “All I could see around was smoke and fire.
“I could hear screams from all directions. Kids and adults. All I could see was fire. I couldn't see any people just hear their screams.”
According to officials, Mr Masood said: “Thank you so much. God has been merciful.”
The other 97 passengers and crew are believed to have died in the disaster.
This morning, 19 of the bodies were identified and were collected by their distraught families.
Last night the local health department said it had recovered 57 bodies officials warned finding all the dead could take two to three days.
Prime minister Imran Khan's special adviser told Sky News that so far there are seven survivors - but it wasn't clear whether he was including those plucked from the rubble of houses that were engulfed in the fireball.
According to witnesses, the aircraft circled the airport two or three times before plummeting into the residential area and destroying several buildings at 2.45pm local time today.
Moments before the crash, the desperate pilot contacted air traffic control saying: "We have lost two engines. Mayday, mayday, mayday. It's serious."
One senior civil aviation official said it appeared the plane had been unable to lower its wheels for landing due to a technical fault, but it was too early to determine the cause.
Pictures emerging from the scene show bodies being carried away from the wreckage by emergency workers.
And video has been posted online showing the the Airbus A320 plummeting towards the ground.
Pictures from near the scene show clouds of thick black smoke billowing into the air above the residential area.
